Laura & Michael's Wedding at Worsley Park Marriott
Laura and Michael got married on Saturday at St Mark’s church in Worsley, with their reception at the lovely Delta Marriott Worsley Park!
My day began with the girls who were getting ready at the Worsley Marriott. Bridal prep had a very calm, organised and relaxed atmosphere with Laura just super excited that their day had finally arrived that she was to marry her best friend 🥰 it’s always nice to walk into prep and be greeted by a familiar face, Nima Butt was doing Laura’s hair and we worked together only a couple of months ago! The lovely Jennifer Ireland was the MUA and also Laura’s sister-in-law to be! Laura’s dress was beautiful, she had it customised with a beautiful sparkly layer under the lace and had opted for a corset back too. The bridesmaids were in the most gorgeous emerald green dresses and Laura’s little flower girl had the cutest dress to match the bride 😍 The bouquets were from Flowers by Bethany, and they were absolutely stunning.
The Ceremony
Once everyone was ready, Laura did a dress reveal with her dad, we captured some portraits of the girls and then off to the wedding car for the short trip to the church. The church bells were ringing which always gives me goosebumps, such a beautiful start to the ceremony and to announce the arrival of the bride! The new vicar at St Mark’s was so lovely, he made their ceremony so personal with some wonderful anecdotes about Laura & Michael. There was laughter and some tears, and some beautiful readings. Whilst the couple were signing the register the organist played the Harry Potter theme (a favourite of the couple!) much to the delight of the children (and adults too!)
Although it was a rainy day, we didn’t let the drizzle get in the way of the couple’s plans and we managed to do confetti outside the church! Ooo I do love a confetti shot! 🤍
Worsley Park Marriott Wedding Photos
Next we headed back to the Worsley Marriott ready for the celebrations to begin! Luckily the venue has a fantastic glass tunnel at the entrance which we utilised for group photos so the guests could stay dry! The couple had some time to mingle with their guests, before we popped outside during a gap in the rain to capture some couples portraits in the grounds. The autumn leaves provided a glorious autumnal backdrop to our photos!
The Reception
The reception space was decorated beautifully by Beige Creative Events in emerald greens and whites and everyone was mesmerised as they walked into the room! Laura & Michael had chosen to have their speeches before the meal - they were incredibly heartfelt with lots of humour from the best man too! Following the meal, we headed outside onto the terrace for some photos with sparkers - as it was the 4th November the couple had wanted to incorporate a little bit of Bonfire night magic into their wedding day. Once we were back inside it was time for the dancing to start! The couple cut their beautiful cake made by the talented Abbie Clayton, then had their first dance. I left Laura & Michael on a packed dance floor boogying the night away with everyone they love the most in the world.
