A RUSTIC, COUNTRY WEDDING BY Ashfield House WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Ashfield House WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Sit back, relax and soak in all the Ashfield House Wedding Photography in this blog post. I'm incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to work at this stunning venue quite regularly. Lisa & Chris got married at Ashfield House, which is a beautiful country house, situated in stunning grounds in Wigan, Lancashire. It was a gorgeous day and the sun shone all day long!

The COUPLE

Lisa and Chris had an intimate wedding with all their closest friends and family at the truly wonderful Ashfield House. The sun made a surprise appearance and shone brightly all day (even if it was a bit cold!) Lisa looked gorgeous in her @natalie_ann_brides wedding dress and Chris looked very dashing in his beige/stone suit! The bouquets were from @amflowersprofessionalflorists and were really unique- I’ve never seen a bouquet like them before! Pink and cream roses were matched with long natural and pink pampas to create a large spray of lovely colours and textures.

The Ceremony

Lisa & Chris had a lovely ceremony with a very sweet reading from Winnie the Pooh. The ceremony room at Ashfield House is a light, bright, airy and glorious space, flooded with so much natural light. It has high, vaulted ceilings and lots of ledges with curiosities everywhere you look.

THE RECEPTION

After the ceremony it was out into the sunshine for confetti and drinks on the terrace. We went off for a quick walk around the grounds to capture some couple portraits (including their gorgeous pup too of course!) before back inside for mingling with guests and canapés. Speeches were fun, and I was then treated to the wedding breakfast which was such a treat, the food at Ashfield House is insanely good. Not only is the presentation immaculate, but it’s out of this world tasty! I was completely stuffed by dessert but had been keeping a close eye on the setting sun whilst I was eating. We headed outside for another 10 minutes of golden hour couples photos in the venue's beautiful grounds before the sun dropped below the tree line. My first golden hour of the year, and it was beautiful, wahoo!! Evening guests then started arriving in time for cake cutting and first dance! After capturing some fab dance floor moments I left everyone to enjoy partying the night away!

WHY ASHFIELD HOUSE IS A GREAT PLACE TO GET MARRIED

I absolutely love being an Ashfield House wedding photographer. On your wedding day, the house is yours, and it has genuine homely vibes making everyone feel at home and relaxed ready to enjoy your best day ever! I love that the house is like a blank canvas for weddings, and each wedding can transform the House to fit perfectly with your dreams for your perfect day. You really can put your stamp all over it.

The wedding team are the very best of the best - they are all so helpful and lovely and just ooze passion for their wonderful venue. The way they treat their couples, guests and suppliers is wonderful.

As a wedding photographer, it is a dream venue to work at. Around every corner there is a hidden gem offering such a vast amount of backdrops to your wedding images. The grounds provide a stunning setting for outdoor portraits both during the day and at golden hour. And if it was to rain, there are so many quirky locations for photos inside as well, combined with a good amount of natural light from the big windows making for stunning images whatever the weather.

Oh...and last but not least, the food is out of this world (definitely my favourite venue for food!!)

Kind words from the happy couple

"We were lucky enough to have Rebecca be part of our special day and she was amazing!

I had already been a bridesmaid at my best friends wedding where she was photographer and she was so lovely and professional. When it came to our wedding, it was an easy decision when it came down to picking our photographer!

We also had our little fur baby as part of our wedding and she was so good with her and took so many photos. She managed to capture each moment of the day for us to remember forever. There were so many photos for us to chose from and there were so many beautiful candid photos of all of our guest as well as us.

Thank you for being part of our special day and fitting in with all our our guests and working so well with our suppliers. I’m sure I’ll see you soon at another wedding!"
