A Beautiful Christmas wedding by Mitton Hall Wedding Photographer
I love being a Mitton Hall wedding photographer - what an absolutely stunning venue. Whether it's the middle of summer when you can make the most of the beautiful grounds to the middle of winter with the cosy roaring log fire and huge Christmas tree with twinkling lights warming your very soul, this venue steals the show. It really does have the wow factor as soon as you step into the main hall and does not disappoint.

Becky & Dan's Christmas wedding at Mitton Hall
Becky & Dan tied the knot in front of all their friends and family on a stormy day between Christmas and New Year. Becky looked absolutely incredible in her wedding dress. Dan and the boys scrubbed up well too, I do love a black tie theme, and the velvet jacket was just perfect for the time of year. The guests were greeted by a bagpiper as they made their way up the drive to the Hall, which set the scene perfectly for this special wedding day.
The Ceremony
Their beautiful ceremony took place in the Ceremony Room. After their wonderful and personalised service by the registrar from Lancashire Registration Service, with readings from their friends and family, it was onto a drinks reception in the cosy main hall with delicious canapés accompanied by some beautiful piano music from the talented Steven Reid Williams and their very entertaining magician providing plenty of giggles and looks of pure amazement!

Afterwards, we headed off for group shots, which due to the weather we had to take inside the ceremony room. After the group shot list had been ticked off, we decided to head upstairs in the main hall to make use of the balcony and stunning chandelier up there, as my couple weren't keen on heading outside into the storm (this decision is entirely the couple's choice and I will never force you to go outside if you don't want to, but if you're game I am!) We also made use of the Christmas tree and the little porch adjacent to the ceremony room where we managed to utilise the last of the natural light before sunset whilst keeping the couple dry! Before being treated to a delicious wedding breakfast, it was time for speeches, which were brilliant – full of laughter and emotion. Dan's brother did not disappoint in his best man's speech and had the guests laughing hard at poor Dan's expense!
The Reception
After the wedding breakfast the couple mingled with their guests in the 2 packed bars before making our way into the ceremony room which had been transformed into the perfect space for the party to begin! The couple had chosen not to cut their cake, so it was straight into their first dance, with Dj-ing from Exceed Events, complete with surprise confetti canons on the dance floor! Once the first dance was done, the dance floor was packed - there was so much energy and dancing - the perfect end to their fabulous winter wedding at Mitton Hall.
