Harriet and Matthew were married on a beautiful early autumn day in the Ribble Valley, beginning with a ceremony at the historic St Helen’s Church before celebrating with family and friends at the elegant surroundings of Eaves Hall.
Late September is a wonderful time for weddings in the Ribble Valley. The light softens, the countryside begins to shift into autumn colours, and the atmosphere always feels relaxed and warm - the perfect setting for a celebration like Harriet and Matthew’s.
Morning preparations at Eaves Hall
The morning began quietly inside Eaves Hall, where Harriet spent the early hours getting ready with her bridesmaids in one of the venue’s bright rooms overlooking the gardens.
Eaves Hall is known for its beautiful natural light, which makes it such a lovely space for those calm moments before the ceremony. There was a mixture of excitement and anticipation as the morning unfolded, with laughter between friends and the final touches coming together before leaving for the church.
Meanwhile Matthew was greeting guests and spending time with family before the ceremony began.

Harriet and Matthew chose the beautiful St Helen’s Church for their ceremony, a historic church set in the picturesque village of Waddington just a short drive from Eaves Hall.
Surrounded by family and friends, the ceremony felt incredibly warm and personal. The stone church, filled with natural light and quiet atmosphere, provided a timeless setting for their vows.
Afterwards, guests gathered outside the church to celebrate the newlyweds before everyone made their way back through the Ribble Valley countryside to Eaves Hall for the rest of the celebrations.

Back at Eaves Hall, Harriet and Matthew took a short walk around the grounds for a few relaxed portraits together - joined by a very special guest.
Their dog had been part of the day and made a wonderful appearance during the portraits, bringing a few extra smiles and a lovely sense of personality to the photographs.
