As a recommended Browsholme photographer I'm incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to work at this stunning venue quite regularly. Zoe and Jon got married at Browsholme & Tithe Barn, which is a beautiful hall and barn, situated in stunning grounds in the Ribble Valley in Lancashire. It was a gorgeous day and the sun shone all day long!

The Ceremony

The ceremony was an intimate affair held beside the Lily Pond in the grounds of Browsholme Hall. During the ceremony they read their own vows. It was such a personal service. They also took part in a hand fasting ceremony, where their closest family and friends tied a beautifully coloured ribbon around the couple’s hands whilst wishing them good wishes for their future together. At the end Zoe & Jon removed their hands from the ribbon, and they were left with a knot to keep forever – this is where the term ‘tying the knot’ comes from and it was so special to witness!

They decorated the barn with so much colour, which I loved. The reception was in the Tithe Barn – I love this venue because the grounds are so fabulous. There are so many fantastic locations for photos, from grassy meadows, to the lake (Zoe & Jon didn’t fancy a trip in the rowing boat!), to the immaculate gardens, the Lily pond and not to mention the grand Hall itself. Weddings at Browsholme and Tithe Barn are amazing because the light is so pretty.

Why Browsholme & Tithe Barn is a great place to get married

Browsholme & Tithe Barn is perfect for couples who want a chilled out wedding, and is one of the coolest places to get married in Lancashire. The venue offers seriously good food – and there are loads of amazing places that are perfect for photos.

The Reception

The couple had a cocktail drinks reception on the lawn in the afternoon, and a live band in the evening. For dinner they had a slap up meal, and they finished it off with the most epic confetti moment! Their first dance was to their favourite song.

Zoe wore a lacy dress and Jon wore a navy suit and they looked really amazing.

The couple got in touch with me last year, and their enquiry was so fun. They said they wanted a photographer who would be like a guest, and I loved that they just wanted to party with the people who mean the most to them in the world.

Advice for planning your wedding at Browsholme & Tithe Barn

The staff know the venue so well – so ask them the best places to put decoration to make the most of the space.
