Alice and Matt’s July wedding began with a traditional church ceremony before celebrations continued at Bashall Barn surrounded by family and friends.
Morning Preparations at Bashall Barn
Alice spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids in the beautiful surroundings of Bashall Barn. The atmosphere was calm but full of excitement as the final details came together - dresses being fastened, bouquets arriving and the anticipation building for the day ahead.
Matt and the groomsmen were preparing nearby before guests began arriving for the ceremony.
A Church Ceremony at St Michael’s on Wyre
Alice and Matt were married at St Michael’s Church in St Michael’s on Wyre, a lovely historic church just a short drive from Bashall Barn.
Church ceremonies always bring such a special atmosphere to the start of a wedding day. As Alice walked down the aisle with her family waiting and Matt seeing her for the first time, there were plenty of smiles and a few happy tears among their guests.
After the ceremony, guests gathered outside the church while the newly married couple enjoyed a moment together before travelling on to Bashall Barn for the celebrations.
Celebrations at Bashall Barn
When Alice and Matt arrived at Bashall Barn, guests were already enjoying drinks outside overlooking the Ribble Valley countryside.
Summer weddings here always have such a relaxed feel, with guests spilling out onto the terrace and the surrounding fields providing the perfect setting for natural portraits.
We took a little time to wander through the nearby lanes for some quiet moments together before Alice and Matt returned to join their guests for the rest of the afternoon.
Speeches, Dinner and an Evening of Dancing
The celebrations continued inside Bashall Barn with heartfelt speeches, laughter and stories about the couple. As the evening unfolded, the dance floor quickly filled with friends and family celebrating together.
It was such a joyful day to capture from beginning to end.
