A Bridgerton-Inspired Wedding Editorial at Eaves Hall
There are some venues that lend themselves perfectly to a little romance and grandeur, and Eaves Hall in Lancashire has to be one of them.
I was invited by the team at Eaves Hall to photograph a Bridgerton-inspired wedding styled shoot, bringing together a brilliant group of local wedding suppliers to create something romantic, elegant and just a little bit extravagant.
Think cascading wisteria, beautiful bridal gowns, soft romantic hair and make-up, delicate cake details and all the grandeur of Eaves Hall as our backdrop.
It was an absolute dream to photograph.
A Bridgerton-Inspired Wedding at Eaves Hall
Set within the Ribble Valley countryside, Eaves Hall already has so much of the character you’d want for a romantic country-house wedding. The beautiful architecture, sweeping staircase, period interiors and surrounding grounds made it the perfect setting for our Bridgerton-inspired editorial.
Rather than recreating Bridgerton literally, the shoot took inspiration from its romantic, feminine aesthetic and gave it a modern bridal feel.
Kole Events transformed the entrance to Eaves Hall with beautiful wisteria trailing around the doorway, creating the most incredible welcome to the venue and giving us a gorgeous backdrop for bridal portraits.
Inside, we made the most of Eaves Hall’s elegant interiors and natural light before heading outside to explore the grounds.
Bridal Fashion from Sixpenny Bridal
Our beautiful bridal model wore several different gowns from Sixpenny Bridal, which meant we could create a variety of looks throughout the shoot.
From romantic, softer silhouettes to more fashion-led bridal portraits, changing the dresses allowed us to show just how versatile Eaves Hall can be as a wedding photography location.
This is one of my favourite things about photographing weddings here. There are opportunities for beautiful photographs everywhere, but you don’t need to disappear from your wedding for hours to create them.
A staircase, a doorway, a pocket of beautiful window light or five minutes outside can be more than enough.
Romantic Bridal Hair and Make-Up
The bridal look was completed by Nala and Knot, who created the hair and make-up for the shoot.
Everything worked beautifully with the romantic inspiration behind the day - polished and elegant while still feeling soft and modern.
When I’m photographing bridal preparations and portraits, I’m always looking at how the complete look comes together: the dress, hair and make-up, jewellery, flowers and all those smaller details that have been chosen so carefully.
Styled shoots give us the luxury of slowing that process down a little and really celebrating the fashion and artistry behind a wedding day.
Bridgerton-Inspired Wedding Details
No Bridgerton-inspired wedding would be complete without something beautiful for the table, and our cake was created by What Katy Baked.
The delicate design fitted perfectly into the romantic styling and gave us another opportunity to create the sort of detail photographs that help tell the complete visual story of a wedding.
Those smaller elements can sometimes feel insignificant when you’re planning a whole wedding, but together they’re what give a day its personality.
From the cake and dresses to the wisteria-covered entrance, every supplier brought something different to the shoot while keeping the overall look elegant, romantic and cohesive.
Wedding Photography at Eaves Hall
As an Eaves Hall wedding photographer, one of the things I love most about the venue is the variety it gives you without needing to travel anywhere on the wedding day.
There are beautiful interiors for elegant editorial-style portraits, gorgeous natural light, the instantly recognisable exterior of the Hall and plenty of space outside for relaxed photographs of the two of you.
My own approach to wedding photography combines natural documentary storytelling with an editorial edge. I want you to have those beautifully composed photographs that feel worthy of a magazine, but I don’t believe that should mean spending your wedding day disappearing for hours for a photoshoot.
The real moments still matter most.
This styled shoot gave me the opportunity to lean further into the editorial side of my work and play with fashion, movement, composition and light — all within one of my favourite Lancashire wedding venues.
