Weddings at Eaves Hall
As a wedding photographer in the North West, I am absolutely spoilt for choice when it comes to fabulous wedding venues. That being said, if you asked me to choose my favourites, Eaves Hall is always in my top 3. I have photographed several weddings here over the years, and I always love working there. It is wedding heaven.
The venue is exclusive-use. This means the entire venue is booked out for you and your wedding guests only on your big day. It is set in 13 acres of well manicured grounds. This beautiful, red brick mansion built out of Ashlar stone dates back to Georgian times. The interiors have been immaculately updated by it’s owners, the James Places group.
The hall has 30 bedrooms, which are all yours on the night of your wedding day. There is even a choice of bridal suites! The Lodge at the bottom of the driveway is the perfect place for bridal preparations to take place. It has 3 ensuite bedrooms and is beautifully decorated in line with the main hall. It even has a little kitchen, living room and dining room. Plenty of space to spread out and get pampered!
Eaves Hall Wedding Ceremony
The wedding team are super lovely, and ensure that everything is perfect for you on your big day. Nothing is too much trouble for you and your guests. Every wedding I’ve been to has run seamlessly and seemed effortless.
Eaves Hall has the wow factor. From the moment you turn into the long tree-lined drive, to when you get your first glimpse of the majestic hall you will be awed by this dreamy wedding venue. It really has everything you could wish for and then a little bit more. Want to arrive by helicopter? Why not! Fireworks? Of course you can! (And my particular favourite…) Want to bring your pooches along? The more the merrier! (please do…I love it when there are dogs at weddings!! Although I may get a little distracted, and you may end up with lots of photos of your dog!!) Honestly, it’s a photographer’s dream venue and I love working here!
Wedding Ceremony Options
Eaves Hall offers an amazing four unique wedding ceremony options. The first (and most popular) is to tie the knot in the Dining Room. It has stunning large windows down one side which make the room incredibly light and airy. This is perfect for dreamy wedding photographs. There are mirrors at the front of the room which bounce so much light onto you as you say your vows and have your first kiss. They also allow the groom to catch a first sneaky peek of his bride as she enter the room from the large doors at the back. I think this room could well be my favourite wedding ceremony room of all time?!
The second indoor option is to hold your ceremony in the Ballroom, which is also beautiful and airy with large windows. This room is much smaller than the Dining Room and provides the perfect setting for a more intimate wedding ceremony. Despite being smaller, it in no way feels cramped. It still retains the beautiful light and airy atmosphere of the Dining Room.
The next two options are outside, making the most of the immaculate grounds around the hall. The Wedding Pavilion is the newest ceremony location at Eaves Hall. It is in the grounds to the left of the hall, so you have the beautiful hall on one side and the stunning gardens on the other, along with picturesque views of the Ribble Valley.
The final option is to tie the knot on the veranda in front of the hall at the top of the steps. The area can cater for a large number of guests and the hall is the backdrop to your ceremony making for picture perfect photos!
Eaves Hall Wedding Photo Locations
You are spoilt for choice when it comes to your wedding photographs, as Eaves Hall has so many gorgeous backdrops! One of my favourite moments is to have your friends line the steps up to the hall and shower you with confetti. I love to see the joy on your faces.
Whatever time of year you choose to hold your wedding at Eaves Hall, you will be met with a garden bursting with the most beautiful colours. There are backdrops and incredible scenery around every corner. So even if you are wearing out-of-this-world-beautiful-but-rather-painful-killer-heels there isn’t far to walk to capture an array of different images of the pair of you. It also means less time away from your guests (I normally aim for around 30 minutes with you to capture your couple shots).
If you choose to get ready in the bedrooms at Eaves Hall, then they are very light, airy and spacious which is perfect for me to capture the excitement of the morning with your closest friends to cherish forever.

If the weather is less than favourable (and lets face it, this is the North West…you have to plan for these things!) then you have nothing to worry about at all. There are so many opulent, spacious rooms inside the venue. It really doesn’t matter whether the weather is good or not. There is the wood panelled snooker room with it’s low ceilings, the piano lounge, the sung and the ballroom to name a few. Plus, I’m always happy to venture outside with you even if it is raining… as long as you’re game, I am!
At dusk , the outside of the hall gets lit up. It is lovely to take 5 minutes to capture some dramatic couple shots outside once it has gone dark as this makes a stunning backdrop.
Eaves Hall Wedding Reception Options
After your ceremony, (and weather depending of course) reception drinks and canapés are served to your guests on the Veranda. This is the point where we sneak off to capture some pictures of just the two of you. It is also when we would take any family group shots that you have requested.
Your wedding breakfast will be held in the Dining Room. If you had your ceremony in here the staff can turn the room round with incredible speed and attention to detail whilst your guests are enjoying reception drinks!
The wedding breakfast is a 3 course meal with wine prepared by the venue’s award winning chefs! You can enjoy their seasonal menu or work with the chefs to come up with your own bespoke menu to wow your guests. I’ve been lucky to have been provided with the meal by some of my couples, and the food was delicious. Eaves Hall offer menu tasting events where you can go along and try out all the options. You can see which wines pair best with each course too…this sounds like a lot of fun. If you would like me to come along and help you to decide that is no problem 😉
For your evening entertainment, why not transform the ballroom with a sparkly dance floor and party hard well into the night!
Eaves Hall Wedding Capacity
In terms of your wedding ceremony, The Dining Room can hold up to 120 guests. The Ballroom can hold up to 60 guests. If you choose to get married outside, the Wedding Pavilion and the Veranda can both accommodate up to 120 guests.
For your reception though, you can really invite everyone that you want without worrying about upsetting anyone! The Hall has a whopping evening guest capacity of 250 people.
Eaves Hall Wedding Pricing
Prices are from £88 per day guest (min 60).
For an additional £2500 you can hire the hall the night before your big day and hold an intimate supper with your closest friends then stay over together in the lodge. I always think this is a lovely way to kick off the wedding celebrations. Just make sure you don’t enjoy yourselves too much – you want to be fresh the next morning!
Once you have booked Eaves Hall as your venue for your wedding day, you need to contact Lancashire Register Office. There is a separate registrar fee payable to the registry office too.
With its history and gorgeous surroundings, Eaves Hall will serve as an amazing venue to make your wedding day perfect. It has the wow factor!
Your Eaves Hall Wedding Photographer
6 GREAT reasons why you should choose me to be your Eaves Hall wedding photographer:
- I’ve worked here several times so know all the best locations for photographs and have experience of how weddings work at this venue.
- Although I’ve worked here before, there are new opportunities to explore around every corner. I never stop looking for new ways to be creative.
- My heart and soul goes into every single wedding I ever attend. I hope like with many of my previous couples, you’ll come away from your day thinking of me as more of a friend with a camera than your photographer! My aim is to be your favourite wedding guest!
- I will never pose your guests, I try to blend in and document everything as it happens. Rather than staged shots and cheesy poses, I prefer to capture the moments and tell your story as it unfolds.
- I capture meaningful photos of your day taken in a way that your attention is just where it should be during your wedding – not on the camera but on each other.
- I aim to seek out the most precious and often overlooked elements of the day – the tiny details that bring memories back to life years down the line.
