Merrydale Manor Wedding Photography

Without doubt, Merrydale Manor is one of my favourite wedding venues to photograph in Cheshire. My other favourite is it’s sister venue, Colshaw Hall! The manor is owned by the Irlam family and is situated in Over Peover, just outside of Knutsford. The manor has extensive, immaculately manicured grounds which are exclusively yours on your wedding day. Along with it’s own jetty, mini lake, field full of sheep and walled garden, the photo opportunities are out of this world.

You tie the knot in the stunning wooden ceremony room, with twinkly fairy lights draped from the ceiling and huge windows with views of the open countryside. Next you head to the walled garden and the Merrydale suite for your wedding breakfast and evening reception.

Rebecca & Liam’s wedding at Merrydale Manor

It was third time lucky for Rebecca & Liam, due to covid postponements over the past couple of years. They finally tied the knot in front of all their friends and family on a gloriously warm and sunny April day. Rebecca looked absolutely incredible in her Martina Liana wedding dress. Liam and the boys scrubbed up well too! The boys got ready in The Cave (House of Handsome!). The girls made use of Merrydale’s fabulous make up room in the Manor House.

Their beautiful ceremony took place in the Ceremony Room and was conducted by Your Ceremony, followed by drinks reception in the garden with entertainment from Nick Baya on the Sax and DJ Danny Barnett.

Afterwards, we headed off for some photos around the grounds, making use of the jetty of course! The Tall Toastmaster was in charge of making sure the day flowed smoothly and it was great to work alongside him again! After some brilliant speeches, Barretts catering provided absolutely excellent food as always.

As it was a beautiful day, we had our fingers crossed that we would be treated to a fabulous sunset, and we were not disappointed! Shortly before first dance we headed back out towards the lake for 15 minutes in the golden hour with Rebecca, Liam and their gorgeous little girl. The sky lit up in oranges and pinks before the sun went down. Finally we headed back inside to cut the cake and for the couple’s first dance.

Mitton Hall Wedding Photography

I absolutely love being chosen to be a Mitton Hall wedding photographer! Everything about this venue is picture perfect. Firstly there’s it’s impressive sweeping drive which leads up to the stunning Hall itself, the immaculate lawns, the beautifully light and airy ceremony room and the gardens which are a perfect setting for wedding photographs. As you can probably tell I absolutely LOVE it here and get so excited when couples book me to capture their special day here!

Louise & Sam’s Wedding at Mitton Hall

Finally, after three attempts Louise and Sam managed to tie the knot at the fabulous Mitton Hall! Do one covid!! Although it was January, the weather was very kind to us, mostly overcast with a couple of drizzly showers but it was mostly a dry day! Louise had her bridal prep at Mitton Hall. Then we headed to St Wilfred’s church in Ribchester for the couple’s ceremony. The vicar delivered an emphatic ceremony with lots of enthusiastic hymns! After a wonderful confetti arch formed by all their nearest and dearest, we headed back to Mitton Hall. Once there, we were met by a wonderful drinks reception and the opportunity to warm up by the fire before kicking off the group shots.

Afterwards we headed outside into the gardens for the couple’s photo session. Although it was a little chilly, Louise and Sam were great sports and we had a laugh! It’s always a great time for couples to catch up and have a bit of alone time to take everything in before heading back to all their guests.

As always at Mitton Hall, the wedding breakfast was delicious! This is one of my favourite perks of the job!

Natty Bee’s vintage caravan arrived after the meal for some photo booth fun, while the evening guests arrived. We then headed into cutting the beautiful cake made by Lisa Emmanuel and the couple’s first dance.

I loved being chosen to capture Louise and Sam’s Mitton Hall wedding photography. I’m lucky enough to be returning to Mitton Hall several times over the next couple of years, which I’m thrilled about!

Bury Christening Photography

I love being a Bury Christening Photographer, and being asked to work at St Mary’s Church in Prestwich was wonderful. The church building is medieval and very impressive, and is situated within enormous grounds (in fact some of the largest in the country). Amy & Dean’s Wedding Photography

I absolutely love photographing Colshaw Hall weddings. There’s just so much gorgeousness around and every time I go I find something new! Amy and Dean’s wedding was no exception. Amy was breathtaking in her gown. The whole day was fun and relaxed with lots of laughter and brilliant speeches. These included a star appearance on the big screen from Dean’s best man who unfortunately couldn’t make it to the wedding from America due to current travel restrictions, and Amy’s maid of honour, Helen, who wrote lyrics to and sang possibly one of the best speeches I have ever heard!!

Lots of wonderful people were involved in creating this wedding. Bethany at Jemma Holmes did the flowers, Jodie A Smith was responsible for the girls’ fabulous hair and make up, Little Blonde Bakes provided the cake, Pat Holt the fabulous videographer, Paul Grundle my favourite wedding magician and the night entertainment was provided by Exceed Events with a star appearance from Martin Robinson on the sax (this was amazing!).
